Bequests are donations that are made through a will or a living trust. You can donate to Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) through your estate planning by naming WWP in your will for a specific amount or a percentage share in your estate. Another option is to name WWP as the beneficiary of your estate after the payment of bequests to others. The process is very simple for most bequests. Please refer to the WWP “Sample Bequest Language.” As always, we suggest consulting a legal advisor when drafting a will.
Another way to donate to WWP is to name our organization as the beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance plan. This is a low-cost option, and your premium payments may be tax-deductible. WWP must be named as the owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy for it to be tax-deductible. If you have any questions, please contact us at

If in the opinion of the board of directors of Wounded Warrior Project, the income or principal cannot be used for the purposes described herein, they may use the principal or income or both for a different but related purpose which best serves the intent of the bequest.” Important: WWP urges you to consult with your legal advisors in the drafting of your will.
