Planned Giving

Planned giving allows you to leave a legacy at the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). As you begin the process of planning your gift, you have a number of options. You can donate to WWP through your estate planning by naming WWP in your will for a specific amount or percentage share in your estate. Another donation option is to name WWP as the beneficiary of your estate after expenses and gifts to loved ones. Naming WWP as the beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance plan is another low-cost option you may wish to consider. If WWP is named as the owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy, your premium payments may even be tax-deductible.

We have included some sample language that your testator or lawyer may want to consider when writing your bequest to WWP. Please note that these are just suggestions to serve as a guideline and do not substitute for professional legal counsel. As always, WWP suggests consulting a legal advisor when drafting a will or making changes to your planned giving arrangements as this individual can provide advice about the most appropriate way to remember WWP through planned giving. If you have any questions, please contact the Giving Outreach Team at got@woundedwarriorproject.org.
