direct response executive vice president
John Hamre brings over 20 years of experience to the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) team, working with annual fundraising, major gifts, and capital campaigns.
As the direct response executive vice president, John oversees the management and leadership of the direct response team, which handles all fundraising solicitations regarding direct mail, online, and direct response television.
John is no stranger to veteran affairs, as he spent ten years serving veterans through his work in special projects and development with the United Spinal Association, previously known as the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association.
John is also president of Wheelchair Sports Federation, a national, nonprofit organization that provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in adaptive sports.
