RIDE DEDICATION

Soldier Ride The Hamptons is dedicated to Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter. Jordan was killed in action April 22, 2008 in Ramadi, Iraq at the age of 19. Jordan’s actions that day, along with fallen comrade 21 year old Corporal Jonathan T. Yale, saved the lives of over 33 Marines and Iraqi Policemen. Jordan and Jonathan were posthumously presented the Navy Cross for extraordinary Heroism, our nation’s second highest military award.

Jordan was born on July 30, 1988 in Southampton, New York to JoAnn Lyles and Christian Haerter. Jordan earned the coveted title of United States Marine on December 1, 2006 and became a member of the fiercely proud 1^st Battalion, 9^th Marines known as the “Walking Dead.”
