Now more than ever, we stand ready to serve.

To our loyal supporters,

As CEO of Wounded Warrior Project, my greatest concern during this challenging time is for the health and wellbeing of the warriors we serve, many of whom are at greater risk as a result of their service to our nation and may be experiencing even greater social isolation due to COVID-19; the health and safety of our teammates wholly committed to our nation’s heroes; and the health, safety, and wellbeing of patriotic citizens like you that support our important mission. I pray you are doing all that you can to take care of yourselves, your family and your community.

Following the guidance of national, state, and local health authorities, we have taken important steps to safeguard warriors, teammates, and supporters. We have modified our work arrangements and are utilizing virtual programming to deliver our life-changing programs to warriors and their families, while actively doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We have also made the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily cancel or postpone all WWP in-person events in the immediate future. We are contacting those that are impacted by this decision with further detail, and will continue to provide updates across WWP communication channels such as our website and social media.

This does not mean the important work we do will stop, or even slow down. In the face of uncertainty, warriors and their families rely on our programs and services, all of which are made possible by your generosity. Innovation has always been one of our core values. With that spirit we are diligently adapting to the changing circumstances and remain steadfastly committed to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for all of us.

Some of the creative ways we are innovating our programming include live streaming connection opportunities with fellow warriors, online physical health and wellness challenges, and telehealth options to help reduce stress, manage anxiety, and build resilience. In addition, signature programs for wounded warriors and their families like WWP Talk, Benefits Service, and Warriors to Work® are available virtually and remain unaffected.

In times like these we are reminded of how much we all depend on each other. Without you, we simply cannot deliver life-changing programs and services to the wounded service members and their families that depend on us. Thank you, today and every day, for your steadfast commitment to our mission and those we serve.
