JACKSONVILLE, Fla., May 5, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Looking for an impactful way to support the warriors served by Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) while also enjoying dinner and an auction in New York City? Then the 11th annual Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner® presented by USAA® is for you! Along with wounded veterans, WWP's most passionate supporters will be recognized for their service and dedication to WWP's mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors.

In less than a month, the Wounded Warrior Project Courage Awards and Benefit Dinner, presented by USAA, will come to New York City.

"The Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner is a chance to not only honor our warriors, but also those partners who make Wounded Warrior Project's mission possible," said WWP CEO Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Mike Linnington. "Our generous donors and partners allow us to connect wounded veterans with the programs and services that empower them to live their lives on their own terms. That same generosity enables us to provide those program resources at no cost to the warriors, caregivers, and family members Wounded Warrior Project so proudly serves."

During the evening, attendees will enjoy dinner and an auction. There will also be a special awards ceremony with a Courage Award honoring a warrior, family member, or caregiver who embodies the values of WWP; an Empowerment Award to an individual or company that has devoted their time to raising awareness for needs of the wounded; and a Service Award for a corporate partner that has dedicated time to grassroots efforts in support of WWP.

The Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner will take place Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Hilton Midtown in New York City. To learn more about WWP's programs and services that are supported by events such as the Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner, visit newsroom.woundedwarriorproject.org/.
