Two New WWP Programs: Sacrifice Center and Warriors to Work (W2W)

WWP Sacrifice CenterThis week, WWP launches two new programs, the Sacrifice Center and Warriors to Work (W2W).  The Sacrifice Center will present a series of interactive exhibits which tell the stories of military personnel who have made incredible sacrifices in the service of their country and lived. Warriors to Work is a new program sponsored by CSX Transportation designed to help injured service members find a great civilian career.  Read more...
Johnny Damon 5New York Yankees player Johnny Damon is a big hit with baseball fans, but the star is working to build fame for a different kind of hero-the men and women of our nation's military who have been severely injured in the line of duty. As an official spokesman for WWP, Damon is championing wounded warriors, and will be teeing off as a special guest player at The Inaugural WWP Golf Classic.  Read more about his work with WWP...
This football season NFL teams will join “Team WWP” by welcoming wounded service members as special guests at games and holding coin tosses with signature WWP commemorative coins. Look for WWP at your favorite NFL game this Veterans Day and bring team sprit to those in need.

olleges and Universities Re-commit to WWP
WWP has partnered for the second year with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) to help raise awareness of efforts within the NCAA college community. So many of our wounded heroes are of college age and this seems to create a natural bond between the cooperating college’s current students and WWP representatives.

Make a personal commitment to our nation’s wounded warriors.  We’ve created an online pledge of commitment so you can let wounded warriors know how much you value their sacrifices. They give so much and ask so little—sign the pledge and let our heroes know they haven’t been forgotten. 
 

This Veterans Day, join hands with the Wounded Warrior Project to reach out to our nation’s veterans and offer tangible thanks for the sacrifices they have made for us, Donate online or by mail and let these brave men and women knowtheir sacrifices have not been forgotten.
