Thank you for your interest in serving as a Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) volunteer! Our volunteers’ time, talents, and efforts contribute to the WWP mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. WWP volunteers are a vital link in our support network and it is an honor and privilege to serve as one. We hope you find your time as a WWP volunteer mutually beneficial and gratifying. We are grateful for your support.
The WWP Volunteer program is designed to be responsive in nature. We react when called upon by WWP teammates as needed. WWP uses an online volunteer management system called the Volunteer Outpost to facilitate and coordinate volunteer efforts. Each volunteer is required to have his or her own account and all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age with the exception of Soldier Ride and the WWP 8K Runs in which volunteers can be 16+.
Additionally, due to the volume of requests received, the volunteer program cannot create or reserve a particular volunteer opportunity for any specific group. It is each volunteer’s responsibility to login and schedule his or her own volunteer projects as opportunities become available through the Volunteer Outpost system.
The WWP Volunteer program does not always offer scheduled opportunities to engage with servicemen and women directly. However, each volunteer opportunity, though different, plays a critical role in supporting unique programs and services that support and impact wounded service members.

WWP offers volunteer opportunities through our Volunteer Outpost system in cities that house a WWP office or signature event. As we continue to expand both our office locations and number of events, we will open additional Outposts accordingly. Should the Outpost in your community be at capacity, we encourage you to check back at a later date as we regularly re-open volunteer registration.
WWP Volunteer Outpost locations include:
**Grayed out locations may be available for sign-up in the coming months. If all locations are grayed out, we have reached capacity for each Outpost. Please check back frequently.
Should you live in a city that does not have a Volunteer Outpost at this time, we recommend contacting your local VA medical center to learn about their current volunteer needs and opportunities. Through the VA, you can donate and log your volunteer hours to WWP.
