Board Director
Anjali Chaturvedi is a distinguished legal strategist and executive leader with over 30 years of experience navigating high-stakes environments across the public and private sectors. She currently leads the corporate-wide ethics program for BAE Systems, Inc. In this capacity, she manages a global network of ethics officers and represents the company within the Defense Industry Initiative and the International Forum on Business Ethical Conduct. Prior to her current role, she served as vice president and associate general counsel, overseeing major litigation and investigations for the company's U.S. subsidiary.
Chaturvedi’s extensive public service includes serving as deputy assistant attorney general within the criminal division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where she led a team of 100 lawyers and staff in investigating international human rights and violent crime matters. She also served as chief of the Organized Crime Strike Force for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of California and as a deputy chief in the Felony Trial Section in Washington, DC Additionally, she provided critical legislative counsel to Sen. Dianne Feinsten on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
In the private sector, Chaturvedi has held senior leadership roles at Northrop Grumman, where she directed global investigations, and at BP, where she served as assistant general counsel for regulatory compliance, advising the board of directors on high-risk legal matters.
Chaturvedi earned her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. She also completed general course studies at the London School of Economics. Committed to the development of future legal professionals, she has served as an adjunct professor of criminal procedure at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and as an adjunct professor of trial practice at Georgetown University Law Center.
A dedicated advocate for community wellness and empowerment, Chaturvedi is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) and has served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, the DC Circuit Historical Society, and the Association of Assistant United States Attorneys for Washington DC. Her commitment to supporting those in their most vulnerable moments is further reflected in her dedicated hospice work. Her pledge to inclusion is reflected in her work with the South Asian Bar Association and her role on the Attorney General’s Diversity Committee during her tenure at the DOJ.
Throughout her career, Chaturvedi has been recognized for her excellence and integrity, receiving the South Asian Bar Association’s Private Sector Trailblazer award (2021), the Metropolitan Police Department Meritorious Service Medal, and multiple Department of Justice special achievement awards.
Chaturvedi joined the Wounded Warrior Project® board of directors in 2026.
