Danielle Green grew up on the South Side of Chicago and was inspired by her grandmother to “get out and be somebody.” She earned a basketball scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, becoming the 17th-leading scorer in program history. After graduating, Danielle joined the U.S. Army as a military police officer. In 2004, she was injured by a rocket-propelled grenade in Baghdad, Iraq, resulting in the loss of her left arm, and had to relearn many basic tasks.
During her recovery, Danielle was supported by WWP™, which provided her with comfort and a sense of community. Motivated by her own experiences, she dedicated 12 years to helping fellow veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Now, as a professional keynote speaker and storyteller, Danielle continues to support and inspire other warriors, sharing her story to help them find healing and acceptance.
