Meet Mary

Mary Tallouzi’s life was forever changed when her son Daniel was wounded during a mortar attack in Iraq in 2006. She became his devoted caregiver, navigating two years of hospitals and recovery before Daniel tragically passed in 2009 from his injuries. As a Gold Star Mother, Mary experienced firsthand the challenges and sacrifices faced by military families and caregivers. Out of that pain grew her purpose: to ensure no veteran or caregiver faces their journey alone.

Today, she advocates for stronger systems of care and greater compassion for those who serve. Through her work as a speaker and storyteller, Mary shares her journey to inspire communities, organizations, and leaders to better support veterans, caregivers, and their families.
